World’s tallest tower glows to mark UAE Day of Solidarity
DUBAI – The UAE is marking the Day of Solidarity today, January 17, with nationwide commemorations celebrating unity, resilience, and national pride.
Late on Friday, the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest tower, was illuminated with the Day of Resolve logo, transforming its façade into a striking vertical canvas visible across Dubai’s skyline. The spectacular display set the tone for a day of reflection and honouring the nation’s achievements.
Later today, fighter jets and helicopters are scheduled to sweep across the skies of all seven emirates, forming a nationwide aerial parade. The coordinated flypast symbolises solidarity and brings residents together to witness a shared moment of national pride.
